Summer Tunes

Sometimes (okay often), I'm itchin' for some new tunes and I go iTunes crazy and buy lots of music, all AT ONCE. That's something I really need to work on...haha...but who doesn't love new music?? These three albums were recently released and I knew I HAD to have them for my summer playlist! Have you listened to them?

1. Fiona Apple : The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do - http://www.fiona-apple.com/ Lovin' the cover art.

"Criminal" will always be one of my fave Fiona tracks...However, one of my favorite tracks, from this album, is "Hot Knife" and the song (from the video below) "Every Single Night". Soooo gooood.

2. Walk the Moon : Walk The Moon - http://walkthemoonband.com/

Ohio represent!!! These guys are from our hometown! I gotta support them. I remember seeing them at The Newport on the Levee, when they were handing out their first burned cds for a donation! Way to go fellas! You've come a long way. Here's their "Anna Sun" video shot at one of Cincinnati's coolest galleries, The Mockbee. Hey Cincinnatians...anyone look familiar? There are lots of locals making a cameo in this one ;-) By the way, this song is super catchy and up beat, so be prepared to feel the urge to get up, jump around and dance.

 

3. Us : Us - http://haveyouheardofus.com

Could this singer/songwriter couple be ANY CUTER?? I really enjoy their harmonies and musicality. Their voices blend so well together. My sister-in-law introduced their "Missin' You Like Crazy" song to me, about a month ago. Ever since then, I've been eagerly awaiting the release of their first album! Here's a cover they did (that's not on their album) they did of Rihanna's "We Found Love".

Now go and ENJOY them...your earholes will thank you ;)
